Neko-ashi Dachi, commonly known as the cat stance, is a martial arts stance that involves crouching with one leg forward and the other back, resembling the posture of a cat. This stance is often used in combination with kin-Geri, which is typically referred to as a groin kick. However, the term “groin kick” can be somewhat misleading, as the actual target of this technique may not always be the groin itself. Instead, the kick can be directed at the spleen points located on the inside edge of the thigh, specifically along the vastus medialis oblique muscle, which is part of the quadriceps group. This variation of the kin-Geri is a close-range technique that demands a high level of balance and good posture from the practitioner to execute effectively.
