The low side kick to the opponent’s rear leg involves a strategic approach that begins with the use of the hands. The hands are employed to either distract or strike the opponent, creating an opening for the subsequent attack. Following this, a low roundhouse kick is executed to clear the opponent’s lead leg out of the way. This action effectively removes any obstruction, allowing for a direct path to deliver the side kick. The side kick targets the medial aspect of the rear thigh, which is the inner side of the thigh, maximising the impact and effectiveness of the strike.
