Soto uke, mawashi empi uchi

Soto-Uke, Mawashi-Empi uchi is a dynamic counter-attack technique that involves a change in range. It begins with an inner block, known as Soto-Uke, which is used to deflect an opponent’s attack. This block serves as a setup for delivering a powerful blow to the head, followed by an elbow strike, referred to as Mawashi-Empi uchi. The elbow strike is executed in a circular motion, targeting the opponent’s side or torso. It is important to exercise caution during training sessions, as the elbow can deliver significant force, particularly if aimed at the sternum, which can result in substantial injury. Therefore, practitioners should focus on precision and control to ensure safety while mastering this technique.
